Ventus Geospatial Inc. received a Canadian Patent for their UAV operated miniaturized Gas Leak detection laser spectrometer on February 20th, 2018. This marks a huge stepping stone for Ventus Geospatial, as they are the first UAV/Drone company in Canada with this technology.

Ventus has developed two new aerial mapping products to help oil and gas with GHG emissions monitoring. GHG flux, and leak source geographic locations can now be calculated by our GIS technologist using our new SOLAG software. SOLAG was developed in combination with the University of Calgary, Geoscience department, and has undergone extensive field and

Ventus and the University of Calgary have partnered to participate in the Methane Mobile Monitoring Challenge, hosted by Stanford. Trials are to slated for the spring of 2018, and results sometime in the fall.
